Invisible braces vs metal: which causes more root damage?
NCT ID NCT07236775
Summary
This study compared two teeth-straightening methods to see which causes more root shortening, a common side effect. Researchers followed 40 young adults with severely crowded teeth who needed premolars removed. They used 3D scans to measure root length changes after treatment with either clear aligners or traditional fixed braces.
