Are your clear aligners leaking chemicals? study investigates
NCT ID NCT06685029
Summary
This study measured whether clear plastic teeth aligners release a chemical called Bisphenol A (BPA) into saliva, and compared levels to traditional metal braces. Researchers enrolled 52 young adults needing orthodontic work to see if different aligner production methods affect chemical release. The goal was to gather safety information, not to test a new treatment.
