First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether clear aligners release bisphenol A (a chemical that can disrupt hormones) into saliva. 52 people aged 15-24 with mild to moderate crowding were randomly assigned to get clear aligners or traditional braces. Researchers measured chemical levels in saliva and compared treatment time and effectiveness. The goal was to see if aligners are safer and work as well as braces.
