Dentists test which tool hurts less when removing invisible braces
NCT ID NCT07259642
Summary
This study compared two common dental tools used to remove the small, tooth-colored bumps (attachments) placed during clear aligner treatment like Invisalign. Thirty-two adults who had finished their aligner treatment had half their attachments removed with a special plier and the other half with a dental drill bur. Researchers measured how much pain patients felt with each method and how long each removal took, aiming to find the faster, more comfortable option for future patients.
