Can a better stove or a fan save your heart and lungs?

NCT ID NCT07005193

Summary

This study is testing whether switching from solid fuels (like wood or coal) to cleaner liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stoves, or installing better kitchen ventilation, can reduce harmful indoor air pollution and improve heart and lung health. It will involve 1,200 households, who will be assigned to use either their usual fuel, LPG, ventilation, or both for one year. Researchers will measure air quality and participants' health to see which approach works best.
