Summary
This study tests whether portable HEPA air purifiers in primary school classrooms can reduce student absences caused by respiratory infections like colds and flu. About 1,400 students in grades 5-7 across 62 Norwegian schools will take part. Half the classrooms will get real purifiers, and half will get sham devices, with absences tracked over 12 weeks.
