New heart plug aims to stop strokes without blood thinners

NCT ID NCT06580275

Summary

This study is testing the safety and performance of the CLAAS device, a small implant that closes off a part of the heart to prevent strokes. It is for people with atrial fibrillation who are at high risk of stroke but cannot take long-term blood thinners. Doctors will implant the device and check how well it works and if it is safe 45 days later.
