Arkansas study halted after enrolling just one patient to test kidney disease education

NCT ID NCT05138419

Summary

This study aimed to see if pharmacists, instead of kidney specialists, could effectively educate people with chronic kidney disease (CKD) earlier in their illness. The goal was to help patients understand their condition better, make informed choices about future treatments like dialysis or transplant, and take steps to protect their remaining kidney function. The trial was terminated after enrolling only one participant.
