Summary
This study tested whether the antibiotic ciprofloxacin works as well as doxycycline for treating plague, a serious bacterial infection. Only 5 people in Uganda took part, and they were randomly assigned to one of the two drugs. The goal was to see if ciprofloxacin could be a good alternative treatment, especially in places where other options are limited.
