New hope for nerve disease: major trial tests potential CIDP treatment

NCT ID NCT07091630

Summary

This study is testing whether an investigational medicine called empasiprubart is safe and can help adults with Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP), a nerve disorder that causes weakness and disability. For the first 6 months, some participants will receive the study drug while others receive a placebo, and then all will receive the study drug for 2 years. The main goal is to see if the drug improves participants' ability to use their arms and legs.
