First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested two different mouth rinses containing chlorhexidine (CHX) combined with other ingredients, compared to a placebo rinse. 81 adults used the rinses daily along with regular brushing and flossing. The goal was to see which rinse best reduced plaque buildup and gum inflammation, and whether they caused tooth staining.
