Feeding around the clock may disrupt body rhythms, new study warns
NCT ID NCT07554716
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether giving tube feeding continuously (24 hours a day) disrupts the body's natural day-night rhythms in hospitalized patients. Researchers will measure hormones, gene activity, sleep patterns, and quality of life in 60 patients and their caregivers. The goal is to see if adjusting feeding times to match the body's clock could improve health and well-being.
