NCT ID NCT07554703

First seen May 03, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at how receiving nutrition through a tube at night (home parenteral nutrition) might disrupt the body's natural daily rhythms, affecting sleep, metabolism, and quality of life for patients and their caregivers. Researchers will measure changes in clock genes, hormones, and sleep patterns in 20 adults who have been on nighttime nutrition for at least two months. The goal is to understand if adjusting the timing of feeding could improve health and well-being.
