Amnion skin graft shows promise for chronic wounds in small trial
NCT ID NCT07041177
First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study tested a skin graft made from donated amniotic tissue (NeoThelium FT) on 10 adults with chronic open wounds that had not healed for at least 4 weeks. The main goal was to see if the graft could help wounds close completely. Researchers also tracked how much the wound size shrank each week and whether wounds stayed closed during a 2-week follow-up.
