First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a minimally invasive procedure using Numen SILK coils to treat chronic subdural hematoma, a slow brain bleed common in older adults. About 100 participants will receive the coil treatment, and researchers will track how many need rescue surgery or die within 180 days. The goal is to see if this approach can safely stop the bleed and prevent it from coming back.
