First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at 100 adults with chronic musculoskeletal pain to understand why some people struggle to stick with their treatment. Researchers will also ask about interest in using virtual reality for rehabilitation. The goal is to learn what barriers exist and how virtual reality might help overcome them.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this study could help design better, more personalized pain treatments and show whether virtual reality might improve adherence to rehabilitation.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study with only 100 participants, so findings may not apply to everyone. It does not test a treatment, so no direct health benefits are expected.
