New robotic technique may cut chronic pain after lung surgery

Summary

This study compares three robotic-assisted surgery methods for removing part of a lung to see which causes the least long-term pain. About 120 adults having lung surgery will be randomly assigned to one of three techniques. The goal is to find a way to reduce nerve damage and chronic chest pain after surgery.
