New hope for hepatitis b: combination therapies under study

Summary
This study tested several new drug combinations in 281 adults with chronic hepatitis B who already take standard antiviral medication. The goal was to see if these combinations could clear the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) from the blood, which is a sign of better disease control. Participants received treatment for up to 48 weeks and were followed for another 48 weeks after stopping.
