Can a simple supplement help women keep muscle during menopause?
NCT ID NCT07402382
Summary
This study aims to understand if a nutritional supplement containing chromium can help the body build and maintain muscle protein and control blood sugar in women going through or after menopause. Researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo (a look-alike with no active ingredient) in 60 healthy women aged 40-65. Participants will take a single dose after a short leg exercise session, and researchers will measure changes in their body's protein use and blood sugar levels over 24 hours.
