Chocolate balloon trial aims to keep leg arteries open longer
NCT ID NCT07471087
Summary
This study tests whether a special 'Chocolate' balloon works better than a standard balloon for preparing blocked leg arteries before drug-coated balloon treatment. Researchers will compare both methods in 242 patients with narrowed or completely blocked leg arteries to see which keeps arteries open longer with fewer complications. The goal is to improve treatment for peripheral artery disease and reduce the need for additional procedures.
