Island tests residents for lingering toxic pesticide

NCT ID NCT07251036

Summary

This study aims to understand how many people in Guadeloupe have a pesticide called chlordecone in their blood from past banana farming. It will enroll 3,000 adults to measure their levels and see if a support program with advice and follow-up can help reduce those levels over time. The goal is to gather knowledge to address a long-term environmental health issue in the community.
