NCT ID NCT07072546
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at whether applying chitosan (a natural substance) and i-PRF (a blood concentrate) to the wound site can help gums heal better after a gum graft procedure. 68 patients were divided into three groups: one received a standard gelatin sponge, one got chitosan, and one got chitosan mixed with i-PRF. Researchers measured pain, bleeding, and healing over two months to see which approach worked best.
