Natural bandage tested to save Kids' damaged teeth
NCT ID NCT07323433
Summary
This study is testing if a natural dressing made from chitosan helps children's young permanent teeth heal better after a common dental procedure called a pulpotomy. The procedure removes infected pulp from a damaged tooth to try to save it and allow the root to finish growing. Researchers will compare the chitosan dressing to a standard method to see if it reduces pain and improves healing in 26 children with damaged front teeth.
