Ancient formula tested in modern ICU to save hearts from sepsis
NCT ID NCT06686355
Summary
This study is testing whether adding a traditional Chinese herbal formula, called Yiqilishui, to standard hospital care can help patients with sepsis-induced heart damage. It will involve 80 ICU patients who will take the herbal granules or a placebo for 7 days while receiving standard treatment. Researchers will check if the formula improves heart function, reduces inflammation, and helps patients survive.
