Ancient syrup tested to help ICU survivors walk again
NCT ID NCT07157748
Summary
This study is testing if a traditional Chinese medicine syrup called Compound Ejiao Jiang can help people recover after a serious illness in the ICU. It will involve 156 adults who recently left intensive care. For 90 days, half will take the syrup and half will take a placebo, while all receive standard rehab, to see if it improves how far they can walk and their overall quality of life.
