Doctors review past cases to see if hip fracture nail works

NCT ID NCT06285981

Summary

This study looked back at the medical records of 44 adult patients in Italy who had a specific type of metal rod (the CHIMAERA nail) implanted to fix a broken hip. The goal was to see how often the bone successfully healed and how many patients needed a second surgery. The study did not test a new treatment but instead reviewed how this existing device performed in real-world use.
