Summary
This study compared two common antibiotics (levofloxacin and ciprofloxacin) to see which works better for treating typhoid fever in children. Researchers enrolled 360 children aged 1-12 with confirmed typhoid fever and randomly assigned them to receive one of the two medications. The main goal was to see which antibiotic helped children recover from fever faster, with all participants monitored for 7 days in the hospital.
