Can half the time yield the same results? study tests shorter programs for childhood obesity

NCT ID NCT06654323

Summary

This study is testing whether shorter behavioral lifestyle programs can be just as effective as the standard, longer program for helping children with obesity. Researchers are enrolling 900 children and their caregivers in Tennessee and Louisiana, randomly assigning them to receive different amounts of counseling over six months. The main goal is to see if a 13-hour program works as well as the recommended 26-hour program for improving children's weight and health habits.
