First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a popular messaging app (LINE) could help parents learn more about childhood obesity. Over 500 parents of children with obesity in Taipei were invited to join the app and receive health tips. The goal was to see if sending automatic messages would make parents more engaged with the information, but the study mainly measured how often parents clicked on the messages, not whether the children lost weight.
