French doctors test new dosing to starve childhood leukemia cells

NCT ID NCT02716233

Summary

This large French study aims to find the best way to give a key drug called pegaspargase to children and teenagers with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The drug works by starving the leukemia cells. Researchers are comparing two different dosing schedules to see which one is more effective and causes fewer side effects, with the goal of improving treatment for this type of cancer.
