Research uncovers why kids with brain fluid condition wait too long for help
NCT ID NCT05796713
Summary
This study aims to understand why children with hydrocephalus (a condition involving excess fluid in the brain) in lower-income countries often receive late diagnosis and treatment. Researchers will interview parents and hospital staff to identify the specific barriers that cause delays at each step of the care process. The goal is to gather information that could help improve future healthcare systems and get children the surgery they need faster.
