Scientists hunt for hidden links between childhood cancers and birth defects
NCT ID NCT01915797
Summary
This study aimed to build a national database of children with cancer who also had developmental abnormalities, like birth defects or growth delays. Researchers enrolled 998 participants to look for patterns that might reveal new, inherited genetic syndromes that increase cancer risk. The goal was to gather information to help future research understand the biological connections between early development and cancer.
