Scientists probe link between Kids' mouths and sleep apnea relief
NCT ID NCT06973928
Summary
This study aims to understand if improvements in a child's quality of life after tonsil and adenoid surgery are connected to changes in how much they open their mouth during sleep. Researchers will follow 50 children, aged 3 to 7, who are already scheduled for this surgery to treat their obstructive sleep apnea. They will measure mouth opening and sleep quality before and after the procedure to see if these changes correlate with parents' reports of their child's well-being.
