New varnish tested to stop baby teeth cavities

NCT ID NCT04947527

Summary

This study tested a new fluoride varnish to see if it works better than a standard varnish at preventing cavities in young children's baby teeth. About 270 healthy children, aged 6 to 24 months, received either the test varnish or a control varnish every few months for up to two years. The main goal was to see if the new varnish led to fewer cavities and to check for any safety issues.
