First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether a special training program can improve nurses' ability to recognize signs of child abuse and neglect. About 120 nurses working in children's clinics will be randomly assigned to receive the training or not. Researchers will then measure their awareness using a detailed questionnaire. The goal is to see if education can help nurses better identify at-risk children.

What this could lead to

If successful, this training could help nurses better recognize signs of child abuse and neglect, potentially leading to earlier intervention and support for children.

What could go wrong

This is a small, single-center study that is currently suspended. The training may not change nurses' long-term awareness or behavior, and results may not apply to other hospitals.
