Groundwork laid for first Kids' shield against painful mosquito virus

NCT ID NCT07133178

Summary

This study aimed to test a vaccine designed to protect children from the chikungunya virus, a painful mosquito-borne illness. It planned to enroll at least 3,000 healthy children aged 1 to 11 years to receive either the experimental vaccine or a comparator vaccine. The main goal was to see if the vaccine was safe and triggered a strong immune response, but the trial was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
