Can a simple score save lives after chest trauma?
NCT ID NCT06734338
Summary
This study is testing a scoring system called STUMBL to see if it can quickly identify which patients with chest injuries from accidents or falls are at highest risk for serious complications or death. Researchers will use the score on 188 patients arriving at emergency departments in Iraq to check how well it predicts who needs intensive care or surgery. The goal is to help doctors in busy, resource-limited hospitals prioritize the sickest patients faster.
