Can a daily bowl of cherries keep the doctor away?
NCT ID NCT07155915
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether eating fresh sweet cherries every day for six weeks could improve markers of metabolic health in healthy adults. Twenty-seven participants ate a set amount of cherries daily while researchers tracked changes in blood sugar, inflammation, and other health indicators. The goal was to gather initial data to see if cherries might help prevent future health issues like diabetes or heart disease.
