Can elderly colon cancer patients tolerate chemo? study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT02978612
Summary
This study tested whether elderly patients (age 75+) can tolerate chemotherapy after colon cancer surgery without losing their ability to perform daily activities. Researchers compared patients who received 6 months of chemotherapy pills to those who had observation only. The main goal was to see if the treatment caused significant functional decline while also checking if it helped control the cancer.
