Summary

This study looked at whether adding chemotherapy to radiation therapy is necessary for people with intermediate-risk nasopharyngeal cancer when using modern radiation techniques. 338 participants were randomly assigned to receive either radiation alone or radiation plus the drug cisplatin. The goal was to see if radiation alone works just as well, with fewer side effects.
