Can chemo before surgery beat cancer better?

NCT ID NCT07155044

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 34 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving chemotherapy before surgery helps people with a rare type of kidney and ureter cancer (upper tract urothelial carcinoma) more than surgery alone. About 120 adults with high-risk but non-spread cancer will either get chemo plus surgery or just surgery. The goal is to see if chemo can shrink the tumor more and improve long-term survival.
