Can chemo before surgery beat aggressive kidney cancer?

NCT ID NCT07155044

Summary

This study is testing if giving chemotherapy before surgery works better than having surgery right away for people with a type of aggressive cancer in the kidney or ureter (upper tract urothelial carcinoma). About 120 patients will be assigned to either get chemo first or go straight to surgery, based on their situation and preference. The main goal is to see if the chemo-first approach shrinks the cancer more effectively before it's removed.
