Massive 32,000-Person study hunts for heart defect genes
NCT ID NCT01196182
Summary
This study aims to understand the genetic causes of congenital heart defects, which are common and serious birth defects. Researchers are collecting DNA samples and detailed health information from 32,000 participants with these heart conditions. The goal is to find genetic patterns that explain why heart defects happen and how they affect a person's health over time, which could lead to better future treatments.
