Chatbot fails to boost grades but wins over students

NCT ID NCT07310940

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether using ChatGPT helps nursing students create better concept maps—visual tools that organize information. 108 second-year nursing students were split into two groups: one used ChatGPT while making concept maps, the other used only textbooks. The chatbot did not improve test scores or map quality, but students who used it felt more positive about the learning process. The study suggests chatbots can be a helpful support tool, but more research is needed.
