AI chatbot fails to boost nursing Students' grades but wins their hearts

NCT ID NCT07310940

Summary

This study tested whether using an AI chatbot (ChatGPT) could help nursing students get better at creating visual learning diagrams called concept maps. Researchers split 108 nursing students into two groups: one used the chatbot for help, and the other used only traditional textbooks and notes. The results showed that using the chatbot did not lead to higher scores on the concept maps or a knowledge test, but students who used it reported more positive feelings about the learning method and found it helpful for understanding complex topics.
