Charcoal toothbrush germ test: do they really stay cleaner?

NCT ID NCT07275684

Summary

This study tested whether toothbrushes with charcoal-infused bristles collect fewer germs than regular toothbrushes. Thirty-two healthy dental students used either a charcoal or a regular toothbrush for 21 days, following strict cleaning and storage rules. Afterward, researchers counted the germs on the brushes to see if the charcoal made a difference.
