First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study aims to see if simple, rapid blood tests can accurately detect chronic Chagas disease in public health clinics across Argentina. Many people with Chagas don't know they have it because standard testing is slow and requires special labs. Researchers will test over 3,200 people, including pregnant women and blood donors, to find the best way to diagnose the disease quickly and start treatment sooner.
