Tiny tech for tiny patients: can a monitor protect newborns from hidden low blood sugar?

NCT ID NCT07462793

Summary

This study aims to see if using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) on newborns helps doctors better find and treat low blood sugar. It will involve 120 babies born to mothers who had insulin-treated gestational diabetes. Half the babies will have their glucose monitored with the CGM, while the other half will receive standard finger-prick tests for comparison.
