New sensor could spot pregnancy diabetes sooner, protect moms and babies

NCT ID NCT05430204

Summary

This study tested whether using a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to screen for gestational diabetes works better than the usual one-time blood test. It involved over 1,600 pregnant women between 24-30 weeks. The goal was to see if the CGM method leads to fewer health problems for mothers and newborns and lowers overall healthcare costs.
