Blood-Derived plugs may speed healing after wisdom tooth surgery
NCT ID NCT07484997
First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether placing a plug made from a patient's own concentrated growth factors (CGF) into the socket after removing an impacted lower wisdom tooth can improve bone healing and reduce pain. Ten adults will have the procedure, report pain levels for a week, and get a 3D scan after 3 months to check bone density. The goal is to see if this simple addition to standard surgery leads to better recovery.
